About the Author
Runoko Rashidi (born 1954) is a historian, essayist, author and public lecturer based in Los Angeles, California and Paris, France. He is the author of Introduction to the Study of African Classical Civilizations (1993) and the editor of Unchained African Voices, a collection of poetry and prose by Death Row inmates at California's San Quentin maximum-scurity prison. He is a member of the editorial board of The Journal of Pan African Studies (www.jpanafrican.com), and he holds an honorary doctorate of divinity from Amen-Ra Theological Seminary (Los Angeles, California).

I was fortunate to get an early copy of this very important compendium by Rashidi. Rashidi is a very competent researcher, and I have personally corresponded with him on a project with Tony Brown's Journal, that was a success for him, and provided very impirtant information on Africans in Asia, to the African diaspora community.

I had participated with a group that brought Van Sertima to SIU during Black history month in the early eighties, and discussed many issues with him on the African presence in early America. He would definitely be proud of not only the superb photos, but the rudite manner in which Rashidi is known for putting together articles, documentts, pamphlets, and of course, anthologies, and books. The anthology was very well put together, and captures many very prominent African, African Diasporan, scholars, that cover all discipline areas in field research concerning "that other Afrcan".

Good work Rashidi, and many thanks to Emmanuel and my brothers at Books Of Africa, LTD. I wouldn't have gotten the early copy without your efforts.

Very helpful for structured interviewing!

I got this because Michigan State Police suggested it for their hiring interview and I believe it helped me alot! I would recommend it for anyone going into a structured panel interview, oral boards, or anything where you need to prepare situational responses.

A good basic book with helpful advise

I have pulled this book off my shelf many times over the last 9 years to aid friends and family during their stalled job searches. It offers basic helpful advise on how to stand out from other candidates during the interview process. A candidate cannot possibly know whether a company uses Targeted Selection but that is beside the point. Giving behavioral answers to non- behavioral questions asked by interviewers really helps a candidate stand out! Sure it's a tad simplistic , but that is what makes this workbook's advise so easy to understand and follow. The pre-interview prep is priceless.

Not only did this book help me change shift my career to a new industry. it has successfully aided several of my friends and at least one family member.

This book was Fantastic! It gave me great examples, and allowed me to practice with real work oriented questions. This allowed me to prepare the upcoming promotional opportunity within my company. I feel that I am now relaxed and fully prepared to do the best that I can. I have and would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in seriously getting promoted. It will work, you just have to do the work and read the book. It's that Easy.

About the Author

Edward S. Greenberg is a Professor of Political Science and a Research Professor of Behavioral Science at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Ed’s research and teaching interests include American government and politics, domestic and global political economy, and democratic theory and practice, with a special emphasis on workplace issues. He has just completed a multi-year, longitudinal panel study, funded by the NIH, that examines the impact of corporate restructuring on employees.

Benjamin I. Page is the Gordon S. Fulcher Professor of Decision Making at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Ben’s interests include public opinion and policy making, the mass media, empirical democratic theory, political economy, policy formation, the presidency, and American foreign policy. He is currently engaged in a large collaborative project to study Economically Successful Americans and the Common Good.

This textbook provides usable tools for critically analyzing our political system and making judgments for how well our government works. The text is comprehensible, lays a good foundation for understanding government and politics, and provides food for thought.

It is ok

Well, this was requested by the professor, so I bought it. Would I use any other products besides Pearson if there were more available, and better, yes. I do not really think the book is exceptional, neither is the online practice. Lots of little errors and somethings are not very clear. Questions of quizzes are not well formulated either. I think college professors end up choosing Pearson products because there are not many other options that meet price (reasonable enough for undergrads) and content. So, it is just okay.

Easy-to-read!

This is an easy-to-read book on logic synthesis using Verilog. The material contained provides an introductory level to logic design and synthesis.It includes a set of Verilog synthesizable examples on combinational and sequential logic circuits with straightforward comments and explanations. This 75-page book will surely speed up the learning of Hardware Description Language (HDL) based design of logic circuits using Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) or Application Specific Integrated Circuits(ASIC). However, I think that the schematics and the associated codes may need to be little bit more refined. They look as if they were composed using another source. Surely, the book is a good addition to the libraries of computer or electronics engineering students and practicing professionals.
